Hi there, Simon who runs the site here!
Sorry, but I've had to temporarily disable posting new messages, as there has been *a lot* of automatic spammimg. :-( Simon

I've not heard season 5 yet. I missed part 1 and 2 (and have been cursing myself since) but have 3 and 4 ready to hear. I'd rather hear 1 and 2 first so I am hoping for either a quick repeat on BBC7 or for a release on CD.

Message to Liam further down the board. Well if I was to receive an email from someone offering something which I had asked for on a message board like this one I would at least have the courtesy to reply if I had already obtained it.
Maybe manners are old fashioned or something these days. I mean it's such an effort to reply to an email isn't it?

What's with all the blank messages? This noticeboard used to be quite on topic but sadly not any more.
Also what the HECK has Alan Davis got to do with anything?

This is slightly off topic but as you are all radio listeners you may be able to help. Does anyone have recordings of 'The Alan Davies Show?' I have the BBC release on tape and the second tape is missing and they only put half the series on tape in the first place - much like Old Harry's Game. If anyone has copies I would be willing to pay for them. Thanks in advance Vicky

Well, I listened to it on tuesday night . . . it's not the same without the Professor. But it's still just as funny as it always was (although a few of the gags are repeats). Any new OHG is a good thing as far as I'm concerned!

Can't believe the fool who described OHG as 'dated' on Radio 7's 'Serious About Comedy' last Friday. I thought tonight's episode was brilliant and Andy's writing is as sharp as ever.

For those who know how to use bit torrent clients like Azureus the torrent is available on www.isohunt.com. I have just posted the .torrent file so may be a few hours before it appears there. All 26 episodes so far are on there in full - Enjoy.

Kate, I've had several people ask about the OHG CD (i.e. where to send the fiver) but yes, it is surprising how many never get back to me. That's no skin off my nose, but judging by the popularity of the series I thought it was worth offering. A few people have taken me up on it (and the costs soon start adding up which is why I ask a small contribution) and I'm happy to help.
The offer remains open until further notice, by the way. I just wonder how I'm going to fit the new series on!

Radio 4 broadcast dates for the next season (5).
The plotline of this series revolves around Satan's space-management problems. Since God won't allow him more resources, or agree to lighten up on enforcing the Ten Commandments, Satan decides that no other option is open to him, except to go out into the world and encourage people to live better lives… despite his innate credibility problems in this field.

I've seen somewhere on the net that the 4 episodes making up Series 5 will be aired on Radio 4 starting on Tuesday 20th September 2005 at sometime in the evening. I am trying to confirm this with the BBC, but getting knowhere as usual.

Although all four episodes are extremely funny, there was, for me anyway a feeling of something missing without the Prof there for Satan to spar with. But I'm still looking forward to hearing them "again".

Liam
Well, in some cases, that may be because they've now *got* all the episodes. It certainly is for me.
So what about the upcoming season 5, eh? With no James Grout, it's bound to feel like something is missing - even if Scumspawn has made some recordings of the Prof's mottos.
Still, I'll be tuning in and recording it when it comes out.

Paul I think you're wasting your time mate, I've emailed everyone on here who's asked for recordings when they post and most don't ever get back to you.

Now we're back up and running, here's a message of mine that got lost in the hiccup: if anyone wants the complete existing set (i.e. 26 episodes) then I am happy to bung the whole lot on a CD for a small fee to cover postage and materials and wotnot. £5 by PayPal (or by post if you prefer) can see one winging its way to your door anywhere in the world. Drop me a line on "ohg ~ cundle . co . uk" (without the spaces or quote marks, obviously).

Hello you lot. I went to the first recording and can confirm the following - 1. Andy Hamilton referred to 4 episodes only. 2. James Grout isn't in it - The Professor has finally been admitted to heaven. 3. Transmission is scheduled for September. Talk about keeping you waiting!

I was at the Friday recording of Series 5, they only did 2 episodes, and there was only one other recording session that I know of. I was wondering if there was anything actually recorded at the previous aborted sessions? Or if the new series will only be 4 episodes?

Has anyone got an MP3 of series 2 episode 1? I managed to miss recording it when it was broadcast on BBC7 however I have the rest if anyone has any gaps.
